TEAM SUZUKI ECSTAR RIDERS AT HOME – UPDATE
Team Suzuki Press Office – May 5.
With the world still in lockdown due to the Coronavirus COVID-19 pandemic, Team Suzuki catches-up with what some of Suzuki’s riders, team members and organisers have been doing in isolation to stay safe and healthy until racing can get back on track.
Both Team Suzuki Ecstar MotoGP™ riders Alex Rins and Joan Mir went in front of the cameras separately and made livestream announcements on Instagram, answering questions from fans, with Team Manager Davide Brivio joining both events – from a safe and socially-acceptable distance in Italy, of course – confirming that both young Spanish stars were staying with the Suzuki family for a further two years (2021-2022).
Rins’ livestream took place on April 19th:

Mir made his contract signing and announcement on May 2nd, similarly from his isolated balcony terrace, to confirm both he and Suzuki were to continue their commitment:

At the start of lockdown, a new form of motorcycle racing entertainment from the MotoGP™ organisers and promoters Dorna Sports has continued to grip motorcycle fans in the way of online racing/ gaming live. Both Rins and Mir took part in the inaugural Virtual GP initiative at the end of March with Rins going solo on his ‘Virtual GSX-RR’ in the biggest and most-impressive livestream production last weekend (May 3rd) that featured MotoGP™, Moto2™ and Moto3™ riders, using the latest MotoGP Official console game.
With three race events now completed, and supporting the Two Wheels for Life fight against COVID-19 in Africa (

), all are available to watch via the MotoGP website:

You can also watch on the MotoGP™ YouTube Channel, with extra behind-the-scenes clips added:
