The opening round of the German ADAC Supercross Cup at Stuttgart saw Suzuki dominate with wins in the SX1 and top results in other classes at the 36th Stuttgart race at the weekend.

American Cole Martinez (Team Castrol Power 1 Suzuki Moto-Base) showed early that he is one of the top riders. After being quickest in practice and winning the qualification race, Martinez was a favourite for final round on Friday. Another Suzuki rider, Charles Lefrancois (Team Twenty Suspension) grabbed the lead but was passed by the American during the race. Martinez won the kick-off race, while Lefrancois put the second RM-Z450 onto the podium.

On Saturday, all eyes were on Cédric Soubeyras (Team Castrol Power 1 Suzuki Moto-Base). The Frenchman won the bar2bar-battle before reaching the final race. In the final round he was one of six RM-Z450 riders which made half of the finalists. Some of his fellow Suzuki riders had some bad luck, but he took a start-to-finish victory. Martinez finished fourth but collected the coveted “King of Stuttgart” title.

In the SX2 class Frenchman Thomas Do (Sturm Racing Team) took third. In the final race the 21-year-old proved his talent and brought home a victory. On Saturday evening he missed the podium in fourth position for second overall.
