MIXED DAY FOR SUZUKI AT KENJERAN INDOPRIX

Oct 4th, 2012

Team Suzuki Press Office - October 4.

The fourth and penultimate round of the 2012 Indonesian Indoprix Championship for 110cc and 125cc 'underbone' machines at the Kenjeran Circuit in Surabaya proved an event of mixed fortunes for Team Suzuki riders.

Although the Yoshimura and Chia Felix teams suffered some technical and on-track incidents in the races that were out of their control, it was a positive test for a number of new parts supplied by Yoshimura in Japan that included new carburetors, camshafts, cylinder heads and modified exhaust systems.

After qualifying sixth in the 110cc class, Harlan Fadhillah was holding a strong fourth position when he suffered a gearshift issue and was forced to pull in to the pits. In the second 125cc race, he was unlucky to be caught up in an incident with another rider that damaged the gearshift lever and he was forced to pull out.

Despite the lack of expected results, Fadhillah, along with fellow Suzuki riders Andy Farhat and Ahmad Kohar will continue to develop and test and will be ready for the final round of the series on November 18th at Binuang Circuit in South Borneo.
